Eye of an Immigrant hosts annual fundraiser

In early November, the Startland EDU team attended Eye of An Immigrant’s “From Here to Home” fundraiser. Eye of An Immigrant is a local organization dedicated to helping immigrants overcome cultural barriers. Founded by Social Change Intern alumnus Komal Kaur, the group also offers resources and financial assistance needed to gain citizenship. 

From Home to Here focused on the power of narrative, featuring personal stories from immigrants and their families after making a new home in Kansas City. It was an honor to spend an evening celebrating the work of Eye of An Immigrant within our community!
