Entrepreneurial Teaching Accelerator: Cohort 1 Blasts Off!

This summer Startland had the honor of hosting the first cohort of the Entrepreneurial Teaching Accelerator. This revolutionary program brought 60+ educators from around the region to examine how implementing the design thinking framework can revolutionize classrooms.

The Entrepreneurial Teaching Accelerator is an evolution of Startland’s three-day professional development workshop, combined with our Entrepreneurial Experience Curriculum, capped off with leveraging Startland’s network of entrepreneurs. The goal of this program is to support educators in implementing entrepreneurial experiences in their courses allowing students to display mastery of concepts in ways that have real-world applications.

Included in the training was an opportunity to interact with local entrepreneurs, learn about the design thinking model, and work collaboratively to implement the framework in educators classrooms. The work doesn’t stop here though as teachers will have the opportunity to engage with Startland over the 24/25 school year at follow up sessions including entrepreneur networking events, design thinking sessions, and collaborative meetings with educators across the region.
