Startland’s inaugural Next-Gen Ambassadors graduate from our Program!

Last Friday, Startland held the graduating Pitch Day for our Next-Gen Ambassadors at Spark Kansas City.

Startland’s Next-Gen Ambassadors are a group of college students creating systemic change within our organization and throughout the Kansas City area.

Trained by our team through the Design Thinking Process, the Ambassadors amassed the skills needed to answer the design thinking question “How might we create access to entrepreneurship in Kansas City through the use of Startland?”.

Meet the Ambassadors and and learn more about their solution below!

The Solution

Focusing their design question on aiding young ventures, the Ambassadors created a 2-step solution to expose, connect, and build skills of youth entrepreneurs:

  1. START Incubator: A 2-day experience of networking and hands-on entrepreneurship for young entrepreneurs. As part of the Incubator, participants will be able to schedule one-on-one meetings with industry professionals and compete in a final pitch competition.

  2. START Community: An extension of the incubator for youth to converse and connect post-experience.

This website was created by the Next-Gen Ambassadors as a Minimum-Viable Product for START.

The Next Phase

Over the next few months, the Ambassadors and Startland will be working together to figure out implementation of this project for the future.
